FlexiTrack - Global launch of our Partner ARS Flexibowl
On March 23rd, our partner ARS Flexibowl made the worldwide launch of its new “FlexiTrack” solution.
FlexiTrack is the evolution of the FlexiBowl system, for dosing, separation and handling of multiple elements.
FlexiBowl® is a flexible and innovative parts feeder that is compatible with all robots and vision systems. Entire families of parts from 1 to 250mm and 1 to 250g can be handled with a single FlexiBowl®, which replaces a complete set of vibratory bowl feeders.
The fundamental difference between FlexiBowl and the new FlexiTrack is based on the fact that in the former, the vibrator must stop so that the vision captures the image and the robot proceeds to pick up the part, which implied a maximum production for simple parts of 50 pieces. per minute and with FlexiTrack the drum does not stop and the robot picks up the part "in motion", which has achieved a considerable increase in production that ranges between 27% and 67% increase in production.
Technically, these changes are due to the development of a new Software based on libraries from our partner Cognex, a world leader in artificial vision systems and creator of “Deep-Learning”.
In order to simplify communication, reduce development costs, and take full advantage of Flexibowl's comprehensive capabilities and capabilities, different integration plug-ins are offered for a wide variety of robots and PLCs.
Flexibowl® natively supports TCP / IP, UDP / IP, Ethernet / IP communication protocols, and simple digital I / O. It is compatible with all programming languages that support socket message communication.
We have in our laboratory a complete Flexibowl system, composed with Artificial Vision, Automatic Feeding Hopper and a Cobot (Universal Robots), to carry out tests, demonstrations and training.
